On behalf of the German-Arabic Doctors Association, we cordially invite you to participate in the 1st International Congress of the DAAE, under the Patronage of Mister Mondher Znaidi, the Tunisian Minister of Health, which will be held in Hammamet-Tunisia from December 10th to 11th 2009 , in combination with the annual congress of the Tunisian Orthopaedic and Traumatology Society SOTCOT.
Themed “Multidisciplinary Polytrauma Management" would like to bring together orthopedic and trauma surgeons, and other scientists from all over the world to discuss their experiences and research and to exchange recent developments and findings in the field of Plytrauma Management
The DAAE Executive Committee and the Tunisian Orthopaedic and Traumatology Society are delighted to invite you to participate in this Congress in the beautiful Beach Area of Hammamet.
It also has a convenient and well situated congress venue.
The scientific programme includes symposia and instructional lectures delivered by distinguished speakers from across Europe and the Arabic world. Free papers, e-posters, workshops, industrial symposia and technical exhibits will all feature. The congress language is English.
Controversial case discussions and pro and con debates invite you actively to contribute and share your knowledge with colleagues from all around the world.
For the scientific programme we have successively increased collaboration with our speciality society partners. Along with the scientific exhibition, this congress format will cover the whole range of contemporary Polytrauma management. At the DAAE congress in Hammamet- Tunisia we will share scientific findings, experience and gain a greater awareness of future trends.
If you wish to offer a presentation, please submit an abstract by no later than October 20th 2009. Abstracts should be no more than 500 words. All submissions will be reviewed for appropriateness for the congress. Authors of accepted talks will present their work as a podium or Poster presentation and will be notified by November 10th 2009

Liebe Kolleginen und Kollegen,
Die Deutsch-Arabische Ärztegesellschaft e.V. und die SOTCOT ( Societe Tunisenne de chirurgie orthopedique et traumatologique ) freuen sich, Sie zur Teilnahme am ersten Internationalen Kongress der DAÄ einzuladen, welcher vom 10 bis 12. Dezember 2009 in Hammamet (Tunesien) stattfindet.
Der Kongress wird interdisziplinär tätige Kollegen aus Deutschland sowie anderen europäischen Ländern, Amerika und von der arabischen Welt zusammenbringen, um Ihre Erfahrungen auf dem Gebiet des Polytrauma-Managements sowie neueste Entwicklungen und Ergebnisse auszutauschen. Parallel dazu wird eine Industrieausstellung stattfinden und praktische Übungen für Rettungsdienste, Ambulanzteam und Notärzte durchgeführt. Eine besondere Ehre für den Verein ist es, dass wir den Gesundheitminister der Republik Tunesien, Herrn Mondher Znaidi, als Schirmherrn unseres Polytraumakongresses gewinnen konnten.
Neben zahlreichen Vorträgen zu dem Themenkomplex wird auch eine Katastrophenschutzübung stattfinden, da es in vielen arabischen Staaten diesbezüglich oft noch an Know how mangelt.
Wir laden Sie ein, das Tagungsprogramm durch eine Präsentation Ihrer klinischen Erfahrungen oder aktuellen Forschungsarbeiten auf dem Gebiet des Polytrauma-Management aktiv mitzugestalten.
Wenn Sie ihre Arbeit präsentieren mochten, reichen Sie bitte einen Abstract bis spätestens 20 October 2009 ein. Die Abstracts sollten nicht mehr als 500 Wörter lang sein. Alle eingereichten Abstracts werden auf eine Eignung für den Kongress geprüft. Autoren von akzeptierten Präsentationen werden vor dem 10 November benachrichtigt.
Die Abstracts sollten im PDF- oder DOC- Format dem Sekretariat der DAA unter DAAE@online.ms mit „ DAAE 2009“ in der Betreffzeile eingesendet werden.
