Multidisciplinary polytrauma Managment
- FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR ABSTRACTS -

The German-Arabic-Doctors Association in collaboration with the SOTCOT are delighted to invite you to the 1st International Congress of the DAA to be hold in Hammamet, Tunisia from December 10th - 12th 2009.
The congress will bring together specialists and scientists from different fields interested in the research and management of poly-trauma patients to share their expertise and experience as well as to discuss recent developments and advances.

The course is directed to Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeons, General Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Accident and Emergency Doctors and other specialists involved in the management of patients with multiple injuries.

The main topics are:

  • The organisation of the emergency transport and rescue services
  • The rehabilitation of the injured patient and the social impact. (The role of the Insurance Association and Compensation Scheme for Commercial and Industrial Workers in Germany)
  • The different diagnostic tools in poly-trauma patients
  • The role and value of poly trauma schemes and scoring methods
  • The management of poly-trauma patients in the Intensive Therapy Unit
  • The management of specific regional trauma injuries

Abstract submission will be closed on 20th September 2009. All submitted abstracts should be no longer than 500 words and will be reviewed by a panel. Successful abstracts will be accepted for either a podium or poster presentation. The authors will be notified before 20th October 2009.
